HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

First Trip to the Pool

Last Thursday Hailey took her first trip to the pool. We went with our friend Natalie who lives in Providence in Mt. Juliet. Her neighborhood has a wonderful complex with several different pools. Luckily there was a baby pool for us to sit in with Hailey. The water was a little chilly at first so I thought for sure that she would be fussy but she actually loved it. After about a half hour or so in the water she took a nap in her stroller! That was nice because it gave Natalie and I a chance to soak up some sun!

I am so proud of her...I hope she loves the beach as much as the pool!

So much is happening...

Let me first appoligize for not posting any updates in recently.

~So much has happened over the past few weeks. Hailey rolled over (back to tummy) for the first time on Memorial Day.
~She had her 4 month doctor's appointment on June 4th. She now weighs 15lbs. 12oz. She is getting so big.
~On June 7th we headed to Ohio to visit Grammy and Pappy. While we were in Ohio she started rolling over constantly...every time we laid her down she rolled over.
~Let's see what else has happened...Oh...Hailey has been eating cereal for over 2 weeks now and today she had her first taste of vegetables. We started with carrots...I thought they might taste a little better than green beans or peas. She seemed to really like them!
~And finally Hailey is sleeping from about 8pm to 5:30am. This is so wonderful! This is a very new trend...we got some great advice from a friend to help with the training process! Thanks Mandi!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Visit with Grammy and Pappy

Last weekend Grammy and Pappy came to visit us! We had a wonderful weekend! We went to Maggiano's on Thursday night for Grammy's Birthday. Then on Saturday the girls went shopping while the boys played golf! On our shopping adventure we bought Hailey her first pair of sunglasses! I thought she would hate them but she actually didn't mind them at all!

Hailey refused to let her Daddy rock her...so he stood her up so she could look around and she fell asleep standing up!!

Big Weekend!

This weekend we went on a retreat with our Sunday School Class. We went to Dotson Lodge in Centerville, TN. When I say "we" I mean me, Josh, and Hailey. The weather was great and the company was even better! It was so refreshing to spend a weekend with our christian friends! Hailey was such a good girl...not that she usually isn't but I was really nervous about taking her out of her element! I didn't know how she would react but she was an angel! I was so proud of her!

Hailey also had a big night last night...She slept from 10pm-6am!!! YEAH!! I consider this sleeping through the night! I am trying not to get too excited but it felt so good to wake up at 6am as opposed to 3am! Let's hope that this is the beginning of a new night time sleeping schedule!!

BUMBO!

Last week Hailey got a bumbo seat! She doesn't really know what to think of it yet!

Yesterday I took Hailey to Baptist Hospital to visit her Grandma Story at work. (Grandma works in the NICU.) The nurses there put Hailey on the scale just to see how much she weighed...she weighs 14lbs. 8oz. Hailey will be 12 weeks old tomorrow and she has already more than doubled her birth weight! She has grown so much!

Our Trip to Ohio...

We had such a great time in Ohio. The family loved getting to meet Baby Hailey. We were able to visit with Hailey's Great Grandma, her Great Aunts, Second Cousins, Auntie Jill, Uncle Eric, and Cousins Braden and Corson, and of course Grammy and Pappy.

While we were there Hailey was able to see snow for the first time...not that she knew what it was. It was actually colder on Easter in Ohio than it was for Christmas. It was wild to see snow on Easter!

We Made It...

Hailey and I made it to Ohio! Hailey was such a good travel companion. She was great on the plane...she slept the whole time.

Wish Us Luck...

Today Hailey and I are flying to Ohio to see my parents and extended family. She is getting to meet her great aunts, uncles, cousins, and her great grandma. I am so excited to show her off to everyone. But I am definitely nervous about flying with an infant! I just hope I don't get kicked off the plane like those people who were flying with their toddler a couple of months ago!! :) We'll see how it goes!

The 8 Week Doctors Visit...

Well today was Hailey's 8 week doctors appointment and she did great. She now weighs 12 lbs. 8 oz. and she is 22.5 inches long. So she has definitely grown! Along with getting weighed and measured Hailey had to endure 3 shots. She was so brave! There were some tears shed but that is understandable...I mean she is only 8 weeks old! I hated watching her cry! I was just glad that two nurses were in the room and that I didn't have to hold her while she was getting the shots!

7 Weeks old and full of smiles...

Well Hailey is 7 weeks old today. Time has flown by and she has grown so much! We go to the doctor on Monday so we'll find out just how much she has grown!

Yesterday morning when Hailey "officially" woke up for the day she was full of smiles! I just had to share these pictures of her! She loves lying on her changing table...she especially loved it yesterday.

Josh was able to take Hailey to meet her grandparents and then they were all able to escort her to the nursery.

Hailey's First Six Weeks

Here are some pictures of Hailey over the past six weeks. When we left the hospital Hailey weighed 6lbs. 9oz. Three days later when we took her to the doctor she weighed 7lbs. 3oz. She has grown so much!!
